SECURITY LIGHTING SERVICE
The Miami-Cass County Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) shall charge and collect for security lighting service on the following bases of availability, character of service, monthly rate, and tax adjustment.
AVAILABILITY:
Available to any member of the REMC for continuous year round service for outdoor lighting where 120 volt service exists ahead of the meter loop.
CHARACTER OF SERVICE:
A dusk-to-dawn outdoor lighting service using lamps and equipment available under this schedule. This includes photoelectric control equipment, lighting fixture, mast arm, and where needed, one pole and up to 150 feet of service drop.

Monthly rates will not be pro-rated for service outages.
Tax Adjustment:
The amount computed at the above monthly rate shall be subject to taxes, assessments, and surcharges imposed by any governmental authority.
EXTRA CHARGES:
For member requesting lighting at locations other than locations where the REMC has available facilities, the member shall pay the installation, labor and materials charges for pole and line.
When a transformer is required or the member requesting lighting service does not have a regular account, a charge of $25.75 shall be added to the monthly security light charge.
BILLING:
The security light charge will be billed separately on the member’s regular bill and shall be due at the same time and on the same terms as the member’s regular bill.
MAINTENANCE AND OWNERSHIP:
The REMC shall install, own and maintain security lights installed under this agreement. Maintenance of security lights shall be routinely scheduled during normal working hours at the REMC’s convenience. The member shall be required to pay for replacements due to vandalism or willful destruction.
TERMINATION OF SERVICE:
The member may request termination of service at his option and the REMC may remove its property upon such notice with reasonable diligence
